Museum Workers Getting Together for International Workers Day

Next Wednesday, May 1st, museum workers from across New York City will join together to celebrate the work they do and think about creative ways to address challenges they encounter at their institutions. Museum workers who don’t work in New York, but are in the city visiting are invited as well. Below are the details for the event with links to RSVP.

Marabou hopes this is the beginning of worker-led conversations that result in positive community and worker-focused changes within NYC museums and beyond.

NYC Museum Workers Happy Hour

Wednesday, May 1

6:30-8:30pm Drinks & Snacks

7:30pm Updates & Shout Outs

Hosted by EFA Project Space @Elizabeth Foundation for the Art

323 West 39th Street (between 8th and 9th Avenues)

Join fellow museum workers from across the city for happy hour! Our museums may have different missions and content, but we have a common bond in the type of work we do.

Let’s gather to share worker-initiated successes, celebrate what we love about our jobs, and find out what others are doing across the city. We’ll also make space to share significant changes and challenges in the museum world and think about how we can address these challenges together.
