Midweek Musing: From Hyperallergic on Whitney Vice Chairman

After reading Jasmine Weber’s Hyperallergic article, “A Whitney Museum Vice Chairman Owns a Manufacturer Supplying Tear Gas at the Border,” Marabou had the following thought:

Museums need money to operate. We need to start caring about and actively asking where the money comes from. Museums can present all the “progressive” exhibitions they want, but when funding trumps ethics, in the end those exhibitions are just a facade behind which political and economic power brokers continue to run the show. ⠀⠀
